Thirteen teams from local residential areas took part. Using familiar materials, residents created elaborate lantern models featuring carp, chickens, swans, star lanterns and rotating lanterns. Local landmarks such as the ancient Duong Lam village gate and Kim Quy tortoise at Va Temple were also featured.
More activities are expected through 26 September as part of the festival. The highlight will be Mid-Autumn Night on 26 September, featuring lantern models from 25 residential areas, an awards ceremony and gifts for children.
