Located in the Mekong Delta region, Kien Giang province is well-known for its various islands and unspoiled beaches. Using sea island tourism as its distinctive feature, together with effective investment, the province has lured numerous tourists in recent years.
The Kien Giang coastline accounts for a third of the 700 km Mekong Delta coast, with many famous islands, beaches, and landscapes attracting millions of tourists each year. This province is the only one in the Mekong delta that mainly utilises island tourism products.
The Phú Quốc-Mekong Delta National Tourism 2016 programme will kick off in Kien Giang province, which will be an opportunity to promote the image of beautiful islands and beaches to domestic and foreign visitors.
