From January to September this year, there were 5 newly signed ODA projects with a total value of about 750 million US dollars, and one non-refundable aid for flood prevention and natural disaster control worth 16 million US dollars.
In addition, 9 projects on technical cooperation were completed and seven were newly signed. According to a representative of JICA in Vietnam, Vietnam needs to better manage state budget distribution for loans, make more precise forecasts of disbursement for projects, and simplify administrative procedures to implement ODA projects more effectively.
