40,000 Vietnamese interns studied and worked in Japan last year, but only 5% from seven south central provinces reached international and Japanese standards. Therefore, Japan has suggested support and training programmes to raise the skills for teachers in the fields of engineering, electrics, electronics and telecommunications. Japan will also support Vietnam in providing teaching facilities for hotel management tourism. The event aims to promote co-operation with Japan in industry and energy, agriculture and fisheries, vocational training, and tourism and holiday real estate.
