The two-day event is designed to create an ideal venue in which Vietnamese and Japanese businesses can boost connectivity, seek additional partners and suppliers, attend seminars, and experience several demonstrations of new technology.
Upon addressing the opening ceremony, Vu Trong Tai, general director of Reed Tradex Vietnam Company, emphasised that in recent years both Vietnam and Japan have intensified trade exchanges, stepped up investment co-operation, and diversified the supply chain that exists between the two nations.
Tai also noted that the occasion is expected to help industrialists enjoy greater access to cutting-edge technologies, improve the overall efficiency and quality of the production process. In addition, it will serve as a perfect platform in which to strengthen business connectivity amid the current context.
Concurring with this view point, Hirai Shinji, chief representative of the Japan Trade Promotion Organisation (JETRO) in Ho Chi Minh City, underlined the need to establish a sustainable and reliable supply chain through the diversification of production facilities.
Furthermore, he underscored the importance of developing of industrial clusters via business networks, along with the application of digital technology in production activities. This should be done in order to maintain the country’s position as one of the most attractive destinations for Japanese enterprises to invest and do business in.
