The Vietnam Fatherland Front presented 215,000 USD and 10 houses worth 1,700 each to Quảng Trị people. The provinces of Vĩnh Phúc, Hà Nam, Bắc Giang and Tuyên Quang, together with the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment were among the units that presented financial and material support to affected people. Most notably, the city of Hải Phòng raised 380,000 USD and 200 ton of rice for the central region.
They expect to support 6 central provinces with over 500,000 USD. Also on Friday, relief goods were transported to Hướng Việt commune, Quảng Trị Province with a helicopter, and 2 injured local authorities were taken to hospital for treatment.
