Recently, local authorities have called for the rescue of up to 30,000 tonnes of sugar in stock. In addition, there are about 300,000 tonnes of unsold sugar in the country. According to economists, the government has already supported the sugar industry with the a 5% tax rate on imported products. If imported sugar continues to be limited in quantity, it will affect Vietnam’s economic relations with other countries.
