A consensus on the need to enhance weather forecast capabilities by embracing new technologies was reached on Tuesday in a technical forum held by the Typhoon Committee in Hanoi. The conference was an opportunity for weather forecast experts from around the world to share their experiences and best practices in the analysis and prediction of extreme weather events, including typhoons, flooding, droughts, salt intrusion and high tides, phenomena that Vietnam has been familiar with throughout its history.
