IHG Hotels & Resorts has expanded its Vignette Collection brand into Vietnam with the opening of Moire Hoi An.
Poised along the tranquil banks of the Hoai River, the 128-key Moire Hoi An resort presents an intimate collection of 128 guestrooms and suites, overlooking the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hoi An’s ancient town.
Philip Beriman, General Manager at Moire Hoi An, Vignette Collection said: "We are thrilled to bring the Vignette Collection brand to Vietnam for the first time. Our intention with Moire Hoi An is to create a destination hotel offering guests diverse programming that is culturally on point, as well as an engaging and meaningful stay experience, all year round. Our vision has been to craft a distinctive sanctuary, where the nostalgic charm of Hoi An’s rich history gracefully intertwines with the contemporary luxury, allowing all guests to enjoy a truly one-of-a-kind stay."
The name ‘Moire’ borrows from the term used to describe the rippled or wave pattern when silk is scrunched. This evokes the notion of Moire Hoi An being a meeting point at the threshold of the ancient town, where mythical tales converge with modern tales.
In addition, Moire Hoi An is to introduce "Memorable Rituals", which connect guests to its unique identity and cultural landscape.
Next year, the resort plans to enhance guest experiences further by introducing a visual and audio guide to the town, created in collaboration with local artists.
Just three years after the brand’s introduction, Vignette Collection has surpassed the halfway point in its initial aim to reach 100 open and pipeline hotels in 10 years. Today, there are 19 Vignette Collection hotels open around the world with a further 34 in the pipeline* that will mark brand debuts in markets such as Japan and Maldives
