Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai chaired a meeting with the Central Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention to plan response measures. Local central localities, especially the Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and Da Nang province have been urged to intensify precautionary measures. Fishing boats operating in the Paracel and Spratly archipelagos have been advised to leave the danger zone and local people have been warned of possible landslides in mountainous areas.
