Hung Yen organizes the Week of Longan 2019

However, the connection between supply and demand remains a challenge for Hung Yen province. To promote the introduction of longan to consumers, this morning (Aug 9th), Hung Yen province opened the Week of Longan and Agricultural Products 2019. The event attracted 10 cooperatives growing longans under the Vietgap standard. Due to unfavarable weather condition, the total production of longan this year is only half of last year. 80% of longans are consumed domestically while 20% are exported to China. Other added value products from longan such as dried longan, honey from longan flowers are also featured and sold at the event. The event starts from today and ends on Aug 15th.
