This was announced by Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF) General Secretary Nguyen Quoc Ky at a September 22 press conference on the tournament, which falls is under the ATP Challenger Tour.
Additionally, Indian player Sumit Nagal, who would compete with Hoang Nam as a double, was entered into the final round of 2015 Vietnam Open. In turn, the All India Tennis Association will give an exception for Hoang Nam to enter the final round of the India Open in the future, said Nguyen Quoc Ky.
The 2015 Vietnam Open is expected to attract some top international tennis professionals, including Marcel Granollers (81st in the ATP rankings), James Duckworth (96th), and players in top 300 rankings like Lee Duck Hee, Daniel Nguyen, Luke Saville and Jimmy Wang.
This offers a good opportunity for Vietnamese tennis players to hone their skills with world-class rivals.
Total cash prizes will be worth up to US$50,000 (equivalent to more than VND1.12 billion).
