This is the third memorial site erected for late President Ho Chi Minh in Thailand, following ones in Udon Thani and Nakhon Phanom provinces. The inauguration ceremony was held by the Thai Ministry of Tourism and Sports, local authorities and the Embassy of Vietnam in Thailand, with the participation of about 300 overseas Vietnamese and Thai people.
Covering an area of 6,400 square metres, the Ho Chi Minh Museum, along with the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site, is located in the Thailand - Vietnam Friendship Centre in Phichit province. During his lifetime, Ho Chi Minh stayed and worked for revolutionary activities in Phichit province from July 1928 until late 1929.
