Ho Chi Minh City to kick off COVID-19 vaccination campaign on June 19

This batch is part of the nearly 1 million doses of the Astra Zeneca vaccine donated by the Japanese government to Vietnam 2 days ago. Starting June 19, Ho Chi Minh City will launch a large-scale vaccination campaign for locals. 1,000 vaccination stations are expected to be established across the city.

Vietnam has set the goal of vaccinating 70% of the population by the end of December 2021 to achieve herd immunity.
