VTV.vn - Ho Chi Minh City's authorities will be taking a tougher stance on pork with unknown origins starting tomorrow Oct 15th.

All pork products without sufficient origin-tracing information will not gain access to markets across the city, according to the city's Department of Trade and Industry. All violators will be subject to strict penalties. The agency will collaborate with market inspectors, law enforcement bodies, the local Department of Animal Health and Department of Food Safety to conduct examinations at local markets and install origin tags. Instructions have been passed to all market management bodies informing them that they are entitled to deny pork with unknown origins entry into their premises.
