2,800 households are reported flooded In Ha Tinh Province, primarily located in Huong Khe and Cam Xuyen districts, and Ky Anh Town.
In Huong Khe, 17 of 22 communes have seen houses flooded, leaving 5 communes completely isolated. Three schools in the district were flooded, resulting in more than 4,600 students staying at home.
“The biggest challenge is that all efforts to clean the locality after the previous flood have been ruined by this flood. Our infrastructure has not been repaired”, Le Quoc Huan – Chairman of Huong Khe District People’s Committee, Ha Tinh Province – said.
Local residents managed to evacuate their possessions and cattle as the floods came during the day. Ha Tinh provincial authorities have evacuated residents in areas in danger.
The Ho Ke Go, Ho Song Rac and Ho Thuong Song Tri reservoirs released water on October 29th as preparations for the flood.
