Heavy rain forecasts continue for central region

VTV.vn - Heavy rain is forecasted to continue for another 3 to 4 days in the Central region of Vietnam.

From now until November 27th, areas from Ha Tinh to Phu Yen province will experience heavy downpour on a wide scale, with provinces from Quang Tri to Binh Dinh expected to see the heaviest rain. Flood alerts are present throughout (today) Thursday afternoon for Vệ River in Quang Ngai province, with water levels on rivers in Quang Nam, Phu Yen and Kon Tum forecasted to drop by late night to the early hours of Friday. In Thua Thien Hue province,  moderate flood alert of level 1 to 2 are present for Bồ and Hương Rivers. Alerts have also been given for flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas and for floods in low lying areas in Thua Thien Hue and Phu Yen province, as well as in Kon Tum province.
