This nationwide project provides free scar and birthmark treatment for children and will run for three years, and divided into three phases. It will last from August 2024 to August 2027, with a budget of nearly 18 billion VND, aiming to treat 350 cases of scars and birthmarks.
The project's goal is to offer free counseling and treatment services to children aged 12 to 18 who have difficult-to-treat scars and Ota birthmarks (a type of birthmark caused by the proliferation of pigment cells in the dermis) in order to increase their self-confidence and improve ing their quality of life.
Ms. Van Khanh, CEO of DW De Beaute, and Mr. Phung Van Hiep, Secretary of the Youth Union of Vietnam Television, sign the project agreement at the launch ceremony.
The organizers aim to raise community awareness about scar and Ota birthmark treatment through programs developed for VTV’s broadcast channels, the digital platforms of the Youth Union of Vietnam Television, and DW De Beaute’s communication channels.
The project is also supported by provincial youth unions. The first 50 children selected by the youth unions of Tuyen Quang, Hung Yen, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, and Quang Binh, in collaboration with the Youth Union of VTV, will receive free treatment at DW De Beaute.
This meaningful program highlights the role of the Youth Union of Vietnam Television in connecting the community and supporting vulnerable groups in society.
Phung Van Hiep, Secretary of the Youth Union of Vietnam Television, speaks at the event.
