The inscription ceremony was part of the programme to honour outstanding valedictorians graduating from universities and academies in Hanoi in 2024, organised by the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee, the People's Council, and the People's Committee.
Among the 100 honoured valedictorians are notable young party members, "five good students" at various levels, examples of resilience and determination, recipients of national and international research awards, and proactive, dynamic members of youth organisations.
According to Secretary of the Hanoi Municipal Youth Committee, the Golden Book inscription ceremony holds significant meaning, contributing to promoting the nation's studiousness spirit, highlighting the effectiveness of policies that prioritise talents and spread the movement for extensive learning and scientific research among students, towards creating a learning society.
It is known that before singing their names in the Golden Book, the valedictorians paid their respects at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel. A ceremony will be held at Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam on evening of October 3 to honour outstanding valedictorians graduating from universities and academies based in Hanoi in 2024.
