At the closing session, participants approved the draft resolution of the 16th municipal Party Congress, which specifies the guiding principle for the new tenure.
Permanent Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee’s 15th tenure Ngo Thi Thanh Hang was re-elected to this position in the new committee for the 2015-2020 term. Politburo member Pham Quang Nghi, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee in the 15th tenure, was assigned to steer the committee pending the 12th National Party Congress.
At a press conference after the close of congress, Vice Secretary Nguyen Duc Chung was nominated to be Chairman of the municipal people’s committee. The position will be voted on by the municipal people’s council in line with the law.
