Hanoi’s lakes cleaned up

by VTV403 March 2018 Last updated at 07:00 AM

VTV.vn - According to the Centre for Environment and Community Research, between 2010 and 2015, Hanoi’s lakes shrunk by 72,000 square meters, and their total number from 122 to 112.

In 2015 many lakes in the inner city were badly contaminated and needed an urgent clean-up to protect their eco-system, safety and surroundings. But a year after the Hanoi lake improvement program began, the water quality in the lakes has improved significantly.

However, the balance of the lake bed  ecosystem, and good management will help maintain water quality in the lakes.
