This year’s festival will run with the theme of “Cinema, Integration and Sustainable Development” and aims to honour outstanding movies that showcase great artistic values.
In addition, the event’s organisers will also be hosting workshops that introduce different aspects of global cinema, British film, and Vietnamese contemporary cinema.
An exhibition featuring information of the local cinema industry and movie screenings is also due to take place during the five-day festival.
First held back in 2010, the event serves to provide a platform for both Vietnamese and international artists to share their professional expertise, whilst also popularising the country, its people, and culture to international friends.
The past five editions of the festival have seen members of the organising board receive entries from Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, India, Argentina, France, Mexico, Romania, Iran, and Poland, among others.
