Culture, Sports, and Tourism Minister signed a decision on April 4th, ecognizing Hai Van Gate as a national historical site.
Hai Van Gate sits on the Hai Van Pass in central Vietnam, separating Da Nang City and Thua Thien-Hue Province.
The site was built in 1826 under the rule of Minh Mạng between 1791-1841. He ordered the construction of multiple defensive structures on the Hai Van Pass to protect the then-capital of feudal Vietnam in Hue.
