Government issues resolution to cope with drought, salinization

Accordingly, the resolution urges different ministries, departments, and local authorities to promptly implement measures to minimize the damage caused by drought and salinization, and to provide local residents with enough water for daily use.

The government has also asked the Ministry of Finance to cooperate with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to provide financial support for residents of affected areas in the Mekong Delta, South Central, and Central Highlands regions.
