Speaking at a press conference yesterday morning, the Deputy Head of the government office said that the prime minister’s conference will underscore the government’s support for new businesses.
According to the Government Office, the approaching conference aims to reinforce the prime minister’s message that the government will create favourable conditions for start-up businesses and boost the development of the country’s businesses.
Beside 500 representatives of enterprises and associations, businesses from 63 provinces nationwide will also participate online at the conference. Lê Mạnh Hà, Deputy Head of the Government Office said that creating a favourable environment for enterprises is now a national priority. He also referred a notorious case in which a Ho Chi Minh City coffee shop owner faced criminal prosecution for merely for opening his business prior to his business licence becoming operational. The incident became such a public relations disaster that the prime minister had to personally intervene.
Le Manh Ha, Deputy Head of the Government Office said: I think the prime minister’s intervention in the coffee shop case was highly appreciated by the business community. If the coffee shop owner had gone to court and been prosecuted over such a trivial issue, it would have delivered a bad message. It would mean that business issues would have escalated into a criminal case.
In the meeting, the prime minister will hear recommendations from businesses and discuss solutions to facilitate businesses while addressing any potential obstacles.
