This donation is intended to facilitate blood and heart research at the institute. The device, valued at 1.1 million USD, is among the latest technologies for blood studies. It can detect abnormalities in blood vessels and heart issues.
Besides the scanner, ‘Heart to Heart’ has also built a heart clinic for disadvantaged children in remote areas of Southern Vietnam. In return, the university has bestowed Heart to Heart chairman Johann LeJeune the title of honorary doctorate.
