On the evening of November 30, the gala for the School Without Drugs competition, themed "Things That Endure", was broadcast on VTV2. This event served as a platform for special guests, including Miss H'Hen Nie, actors Truong Giang and Nha Phuong, People's Artist Xuan Bac, actors Trung Ruoi and Thai Son, among others. The gala also honored the winning teams and individuals from both high school and university categories from the norther, central, and souther regions of Vietnam. It was also a moment to recognize the outstanding individuals and organizations who contributed to the success of the competition. Additionally, many influential figures and celebrities attended the event to spread the message of drug prevention for the future of Vietnam's youth.
The evening opened with a performance titled Youth, We Say No to Drugs. This performance symbolized how drugs can infiltrate schools and lure students and the ongoing battle fought by students, teachers, and families against the drug menace.
Also on stage were familiar faces from the competition, such as Nguyen Thu Bao Minh from the International High School of Asia (Ho Chi Minh City), Tran Bao Ngoc from Ngo Quyen High School (Hai Phong), Le Anh Quan from Ha Huy Tap High School (Vinh, Nghe An), and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh, a student at Dai Nam University. These participants shared memorable experiences from their journey in the School Without Drugs competition.
"I feel proud of myself and my teammates. I am confident that we performed excellently in the competition. Through this event, we have gained a deeper understanding of the dangers of drugs, and prevention measures, and our sense of unity has been strengthened", Bao Minh shared.
The audience was also moved by the heartfelt poem titled No to Drugs, written by Mrs. Nguyen Thi Phuong, the grandmother of Vo Hong Phuc, a student from Ha Huy Tap High School. This poem was a special gift from the grandmother to her grandson and to the program after learning of its powerful message.
After 30 rounds of competition, one of the most impressive performances came from the students at Ngo Quyen High School (Hai Phong). Their performance combined dance, rap, and a skit to spread a positive message about drug prevention. This performance was also repeated during the gala.
A key highlight of the event was the participation of well-known figures and popular personalities, who are beloved by the public, including Mac Van Khoa, Trung Ruoi, Duy Nam, Thai Son, Miss Ngoc Han, Miss Mai Phuong, goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung, singers Nguyen Tran Trung Quan, Hoang Bach, and MC Khanh Vy. Their presence reinforced the powerful message of Say No to Drugs, advocating for a safe school environment, a peaceful society, and a happy future. Their participation was a striking feature of the event, encouraging students to participate in the contest.
On stage, actors Thai Son and Do Duy Nam performed a humorous skit with a powerful message, helping students understand the dangers of drugs and how to recognize attempts by bad influences to lure them into harmful situations.
At the end of the program, all participants received commemorative medals and flowers from the School Without Drugs Season 2.
