The organizing committee of the VTV Awards - Impressive Documentary Nominees 2024 has released the list of nominees for the Impressive Documentary category. The selected works are not only of artistic value but also carry many meaningful messages and diverse stories, reflecting various aspects of life. Each documentary contains unique information and perspectives, contributing to enriching the domestic documentary film industry.
Among the 10 nominated works, many are produced by the Documentary Film Center of Vietnam Television (VTV). This unit has recently produced quality productions that have attracted a significant audience on television.
Notably, documentaries focusing on historical themes also dominate this year’s Impressive Documentary category, with titles such as The Heroic Song of Truong Son, Dien Bien Phu - A View from France, H63 The Hero, Iron Elephant in Dien Bien, etc. Additionally, the nominated documentaries continue to address hot social issues, such as Water Bomb PTL, which captures footage of the Yagi storm through VTV reporters working on the ground.
As in previous years, voting for the VTV Awards will take place in two rounds. The first round of voting will start at 12:00 on December 1 and and will end at 12:00 on December 23. In this round, the voting results will be recorded in a 50/50 ratio—50% from the audience (50% of the points come from voting via VTVGo and SMS) and 50% from the expert panel.
After the first round of voting ends, the organizing committee will select the top 3 nominees from each category to proceed to the second round. However, in 8 initial categories, only 5 will continue to the second voting round. The three categories that will be eliminated in the first round are: Impressive Documentary, Creative Program of the Year, and Impressive Young Face. The results of the top 3 nominees in these categories will be kept confidential until the award ceremony.

- Each successful SMS vote is worth 20 points (each SMS costs VND5,000 ).
- The total votes for each nominee are calculated based on valid votes during the open voting period.
- Note: Each phone number can vote multiple times.

- Step 2: The network provider will reply with a message confirming whether the vote is valid or invalid.
