Vietnamese goods will go on show at an exhibition to promote Vietnamese goods to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). This exhibition will be held by the end of this year in Moscow.
The free trade agreement Vietnam signed in May with the EEU has significance for local exporters. The trade pact is the first of its kind for both parties involved. It is expected to open the door for Vietnam to access 200 million consumers.
The Eurasian Economic Union consists of 5 member countries, including Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia. Once operational, the trade deal between Vietnam and the bloc is expected to eliminate most tariff lines and non-tariff barriers.
