As of December 15th, the export turnover of vegetables and fruits reached 2.3 billion USD while that of rice stood at 2.1 billion USD, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said that vegetable and fruit exports have quickly increased for the last decade. Currently, some 60 countries and territories import Vietnamese vegetables and fruits. Last year, Vietnam grossed some 2.2 billion USD from selling fruits and vegetable abroad.
