As the Lunar New Year is around the corner, Kao Kuo Hua, a Taiwanese businessman and his wife are wrapping up their preparations for the event. What surprises him the most is the local government paying an interest in how they’re celebrating the occasion.
"My wife and I are so excited as this is the first time we’ve been in Vietnam on this occasion. We’re so grateful that the provincial authority also encouraged us to share the cosy atmosphere here with the Vietnamese people." - Kao Kuo Hua, Deputy Director, Phu Vinh Infrastructure Investment Ltd.
Kachiusa’s family from Russia is also in Vietnam during the Lunar New Year. This is also a chance for them to discover Vietnamese culture.
"We are so happy to celebrate Tet in Vietnam as we have lots of Vietnamese friends. We will cook traditional Vietnamese dishes such as Chung cake, spring rolls or vermicelli" - Kachiusa, Owner, Lien Phu Hotel, Ky Anh Town, Ha Tinh Province.
Ha Tinh’s local authorities have also organised a programme to connect foreigners who are spending the time in Vietnam during the Lunar New Year.
"These activities represent our attention and appreciation for foreigners and their businesses. We’ll present gifts and hold many activities to better understand them and their expectations for the New Year." - Nguyen Hong Cuong, Chief of Office, Ky Anh Town People's Committee, Ha Tinh Province.
Over 1,000 foreigners will spend the Tet Holiday in Ha Tinh Province and the local authorities intend to make this Lunar New Year an unforgettable experience.
