The route connecting Da Nang with New Delhi (India) is operated with four return flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, while the Da Nang-Mumbai route has three return flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

On October 18, the central city of Da Nang welcomed Vietjet's first direct flights from New Delhi and Mumbai, the two largest cultural, economic and political centres of India.

The new routes brought Indian travellers to Vietnam's attractive new destination to travel, trade and experience the unique culture and cuisine.

After only four flying hours, Indians and passengers will have the opportunity to experience famous resort destinations, and beautiful beaches, discover Ba Na - the world-famous Golden Bridge, travel easily on the "Central Heritage Road" including Hue - My Son - Hoi An, as well as fast forwarding in Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia, through an extensive international flight network.

Nguyen Trung Khanh, General Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), highly appreciated the efforts of businesses and the Da Nang city government in restoring tourism, especially the international tourist market from India, he emphasised that India is a potential tourism market of Vietnam, with the total number of visitors between the two countries in the pre-epidemic period (in 2019) reaching 319,000 visitors, of which the number of Indian visitors to Vietnam was 169,000. The growth rate of this market is very high (27.7%), the third highest among the tourist markets of Vietnam, especially in the last three months of the year.

Nguyen Trung Khanh suggested that Da Nang city and localities with direct flights between Vietnam and India, increase investment in the promotion of destinations to attract Indian tourists.
