At the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Philippines said that the two countries shared many similarities in terms of culture and customs. He also stressed that the culinary week would be a good opportunity for Filipinos to understand more about Vietnamese cuisine and culture. Three Vietnamese chefs from Ho Chi Minh City have been invited to join the event. Event-goers can enjoy several typical Vietnamese dishes such as phở, chicken salad, summer rolls and coffee.
