In his opening remarks, Ho Chi Minh City Chairman Phan Van Mai highlighted the important role of the business community in the city’s development.
He noted that their contributions are significant to the city’s rapid and sustainable development and that the city is looking to have closer and more effective cooperation with investors in the future.
For their part, enterprises suggested that in order for Ho Chi Minh City to recover from the pandemic, it is necessary to focus on developing the stock market, building an international financial centre, and promoting digital transformation and digital economy.
The city also needs to bolster the private sector and improve logistics and transport infrastructure in order to attract investors.
Speaking at the conference, Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Nen stated that enterprises’ general opinion is to create a transparent and conducive business climate.
He added that the city is working its best to address obstacles and create the most favourable conditions for enterprises investing in Ho Chi Minh City.
