During a working visit to the United States from July 21-27, National Assembly (NA) Vice Chairman Gen. Do Ba Ty had working sessions with US congressmen and also received several US scholars and entrepreneurs. At those meetings, Gen. Ty reaffirmed that Vietnam places much importance to consolidating and developing its bilateral comprehensive partnership with the US.
The Vietnamese delegation took the opportunity to recommend that the two sides intensify cooperation in supervision and legislative affairs, economics, trade, security, and defense, particularly in addressing the consequences of war.
While meeting representatives from US enterprises, Vietnam's NA deputies informed them of policies and laws regulating the business and investment environment in Vietnam.
