This is a joint project between the Ministry of Health and Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Medical students will undergo intensive training before being assigned to work in far-flung localities. They will receive subsidized tuition fees and improved salaries during their training time. After being trained and qualified, doctors will work in district-level hospitals in far-flung localities for 2-3 years. Those who have been sent by disadvantaged areas to be trained will return and work in these localities permanently.
