Key events include: the ceremony commemorating the anniversary during which the Ho Chi Minh Order will be presented; a gathering and commendation ceremony honoring outstanding journalists; a national scientific conference titled “100 Years of Vietnam’s Revolutionary Press Accompanying the Glorious Cause of the Party and the Nation”; a themed photo exhibition; and the release of commemorative publications about the history and achievements of revolutionary journalism.
From June 19 to June 21, 2025, the National Press Festival will take place at the National Convention Center, alongside the exhibition “Achievements of 100 Years of Viet Nam’s Revolutionary Press”. The 2025 National Press Forum will be held on June 19, immediately following the opening ceremony of the exhibition. The forum will feature in-depth discussions on current journalism topics and foster connections among journalists, media executives, and experts in communication technology.
The 19th Viet Nam National Press Awards Ceremony will be held in a formal setting on the evening of June 21, 2025, in Hanoi. An exceptional art performance will also be staged in the capital city to mark this historic milestone, coordinated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with various partners.

Additionally, the Vietnam Journalists Association will organize meaningful events such as a “Back to the Roots” journey to Guangzhou (China) – where President Ho Chi Minh founded the Thanh Nien newspaper, as well as a working trip to visit military personnel and residents on Truong Sa (Spratly Islands), Khanh Hoa Province.
In preparation for the celebration, Politburo member and Head of the Central Commission for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Nguyen Trong Nghia recently chaired a working session in Hanoi with the Steering Committee for the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
During the session, participants reviewed progress, provided feedback, and refined the organizational plan. Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized that this centennial is a significant event not only for the journalism community but also for the nation as a whole. Therefore, it must be carefully and respectfully organized to honor the proud 100-year legacy of Vietnam’s Revolutionary Press.
He also acknowledged the Steering Committee and organizing bodies for their proactive and responsible efforts. He urged all units to work together closely to ensure high-quality, impactful events that reflect the press's essential role in the past, present, and future.
According to Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Chairman of the Viet Nam Journalists Association, the 100th anniversary marks a significant milestone. The Association and Nhan Dan Newspaper, the core organizing bodies, have been implementing plans since early 2025 and are on schedule for major events in June.
