At the ceremony, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan awarded the first-class Labour Order to the Directorate in recognition of their effective operation and contributions to the national construction and defence.
Speaking at the event, MOLISA Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung said that the COVID-19 pandemic has created significant impacts on vocational education and training, noting that the social distancing in many provinces and cities in particular led to interruptions affecting the teaching and learning activities of more than 1,900 vocational training facilities across the country.
He hailed that despite such difficulties and challenges, vocational training facilities have actively and flexibly adapted to the current situation by timely shifting from face-to-face to online teaching and applying information technology in the teaching-learning process.
He asked the vocational training facilities to make greater efforts to improve Vietnam’s labour skills in order to meet the increasing demand of businesses and the labour market.
The facilities were also requested to boost digital transformation in their operation, update their curricula, and make further investments in infrastructure and teaching equipment to attract students.
