Vietnam’s National Assembly announced the incumbent Minister of Public Security General Tran Dai Quang as State President for the 2016-20 tenure on Saturday. After receiving a 91% approval vote, he has become the new head of state. Many National Assembly (NA) deputies and voters expressed high expectations for State President Tran Dai Quang to fulfill all missions assigned by the Party, the National Assembly, and the people.
