The 9th European-Vietnamese Documentary Film Festival is currently taking place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. For the first time ever, the Czech Embassy in Vietnam has taken part in the festival with a film entitled " Bố Hải"(Father Hải), by Czech Republic-based Vietnamese director Dương Việt Đức. Why has this film been selected and what is it about?
"Bo Hai" received the Czech Film Critics' Award in the "Out Of Cinema" category. For the Vietnamese community, the success of the film has demonstrated the importance of valuing one's origins.
