Continuous erosion: Sand overexploitation?

by VTV415 July 2019 Last updated at 11:44 AM

VTV.vn - Continuous erosion has occurred over past days and isolated a road section near Ong islet, Lap Vo District in Dong Thap Province.

Residents here all suspect that excessive sand mining along the Tien River caused more landslides. Whether landslides in Ong Islets are directly related to excessive sand mining will be decided by the investigation by the authority. However, landslides have threatened local people's lives. Previously, Ong Islets with thousands of hectares of fruit gardens have been selected by the authority to develop eco-tourism.
