The project aims to ensure water security and provide fresh water for production, daily life, industry, and services in Tra Vinh City, Cang Long and Chau Thanh districts in the context of increasingly complicated and unpredictable climate change and sea level rise, creating a landscape for economic and tourism development in Tra Vinh Province.
The Lang The freshwater reservoir infrastructure project items include a freshwater reservoir with an area of over 30 hectares with a capacity of over 10 million m3 of water. The roads along the two banks of the Lang The River are more than 8.1km long, with a road surface width of 11m and a roadbed width of 13m, connecting with seven branch roads longer than 2km.
In addition, the construction of the Tat Dinh 3, Rach Bong 2, and Tram Sau 2 traffic bridges with a design load of HL 93, a system of culverts and irrigation tanks, aims to proactively regulate water for production and daily life for people in the project area.
The project will be implemented in the 2023-2026 period.
