Speaking at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Trịnh Đình Dũng called on all units and localities to boost resources and efforts in awareness and communication work and to improve forecasts and warnings.
Localities, he noted, should also review their own plans of action and response, unique to the geography and conditions of each region. Inter-regional as well international cooperation in disaster response, and search and rescue efforts are also highly needed, the Deputy Prime Minister underlined. Timing, above all, is essential in cases of disasters, he noted, underscoring the priority of evacuations and minimizing human losses in all cases.
