The event aims to celebrate the 11th HCM City Party Committee's Congress, term 2020-2025 and the 16th anniversary of Vietnam Entrepreneur's Day (October 13, 2004-2020), while facilitating overseas businessmen and enterprises in HCM City to exchange and cooperate across various fields.
Delegates at the event discussed measures to connect intellectuals, businessmen and overseas Vietnamese businesses with the socio-economic development of HCM City.
The conference also offered a chance for representatives of the city’s departments and associations, as well as domestic and foreign business delegations to discuss solutions to promote overseas resources and contribute to the development of the southern economic hub, in which the role of overseas businessmen and enterprises has been emphasised to connect and promote trade to bring Vietnamese goods to new markets abroad and improve the overall position of Vietnamese goods in the international arena.
At the event, three comprehensive strategic cooperation agreements were signed between VKBIA and partners, including Megazone Cloud Group, Shinhan Bank, MHGroup and Hoang Quan Group.
Of these, VKBIA will jointly support cloud-based digital innovation projects with Megazone Cloud through cloud technology capabilities, internal solutions, and digital business, as well as Megazone's digital applications in the Vietnamese market.
Willy Cho, CEO of Megazone Cloud said that in terms of the rapid growth of the startup ecosystem in Vietnam as well as the abundant technological human resource in recent years, the cloud technology market here is expected to grow rapidly.
Shin Dong Min, CEO of Shinhan Bank said that VKBIA and the lender will coordinate in promoting cooperation between its partners of Vietnam, the Republic of Korea (ROK) and other countries, while seeking and realising two-way cooperation opportunities in Vietnam and the ROK through connecting businesses, agencies and organisations in both countries.
