In his opening address, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh said that the conference will discuss further coordination in order to successfully fulfill external works, including greater integration into the world.
He praised localities for making progress in foreign affairs over the past few years. The conference also highlighted foreign affairs' significant role in socio-economic development, investment attraction and the international integration of localities.
At the event, delegates discussed the roles of localities’ affairs for socio-economic development, protection of border and territory, protection of citizens, external culture relations and overseas Vietnamese management.
