After three months, the competition has drawn the participation of many artists. The best entries were awarded in a ceremony held in Hanoi on March 1st.
The picture which named “Fair but no fair” was awarded with the first prize in a comic and cartoon competition held by the Embassy of Belgium in Vietnam and the UN Women. The picture reflects the inequality between men and women in a working environment. It is the work by an amateur painter, who is an English teacher.
Many issues concerning gender quality was lively reflected in the work of many young artists. Each work has its own message.
Gender inequality happens not only in Vietnam but also in the world. This competition was held in response to the UNITE Campaign by the UN with a view to increasing the awareness of the community in gender equality and aiming at ending all forms of violence against women and girls.
