Under the project, seven painters worked with young volunteers and local residents to renovate old moss covered concrete walls along the street and decorate them with 30 colourful mural paintings, each measuring 2.5 metres in length and 2.2 metres in height.
The vivid paintings feature natural landscapes, people, fishing villages, and brilliant flowers as well as examples of good acts to protect the marine environment and Mother Earth.
The project aims to create a green living space for locals while calling on them to safeguard the country’s sea and islands and their residential areas.
The project was carried out by Hoan My Da Nang Hospital, youth union of Hoa Cuong Nam ward, and Da Nang University of Architecture as part of activities to celebrate the 21st founding anniversary of the Hoan My Medical Corporation.
According to Dr. Pham Nguyen Cam Thach, director of Hoan My Da Nang Hospital, the project aims to realise corporate social responsibility towards the local community, contributing to enhancing the social welfare of local residents.
