Pennywort is widely grown in Quang Tho Commune, Quang Dien District in Thua Thien Hue Province, yet its sales have been unstable. To help improve the situation, Quang Tho Agricultural Cooperative 2 has encouraged farmers to adopt VietGAP standards in their production. The co-operative also helps farmers in promoting their Quang Tho Pennywort Tea brand.
Phu Luong Agricultural Co-operative 1 has provided mushroom growers with training sessions in order to improve their growing techniques.
Thanks to the supports from co-operatives, various local agricultural products in the province have gained significant recognition from consumers, such as Thuy Bieu tea, or Thuy Thanh flowers.
