VTV.vn - A programme to make Chung cakes for the poor to welcome the Tet holiday kicked off on Saturday morning in the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Hanoi.

These cakes will be part of 2000 gifts for hospitalised war veterans, disadvantaged people, and Agent Orange/dioxin victims in provinces near Hanoi. The program also includes various activities to recreate the Tet atmosphere of  some ethnic minorities. Visitors can take part in many interesting activities to welcome spring, such as erecting a big nêu tree to drive away bad luck from the old year, and wish for a new year of peace and happiness.
