The meeting gathered 65 representatives of overseas Vietnamese in 25 nations and territories around the world returning to their home country for the Tet holiday.
On this occasion, the delegation congratulated the success of the 12th National Party Congress. They also shared their wish to receive further support from the government to do business in Vietnam.
"We think that the recent Party Congress has been a success. We also feel that Vietnam has deeply integrated into the global market in recent years. At the same time, we really want to contribute to our home country and pass on this love for the next generations", said Hoang Manh Hue, President, Vietnamese Business Association in Europe.
The Party Leader appraised the role of the Overseas Vietnamese and pledged to push the reform process, aiming to harness the capacity of Vietnamese people living worldwide.
Also on this trip, the delegation will continue to participate in “Spring in the Home country”, an annual programme designed for the Overseas Vietnamese prior to the Tet Holiday. The program includes a variety of activities, such as visiting the traditional craft villages, music performances, and meeting with State President Truong Tan Sang.
